Before you submit

Each published piece on paros.is is one photograph, some short text, like a poem, a verse, a breath, or it could be both. Before you submit yours, please read through the following.

• Your photo should be reated to Paros. Landscape, sea, light, people, architecture, a detail, an atmosphere, or anything that belongs to the island.
• Your text must be original and brief. A poem, a short verse, or a few lines. No prose paragraphs. No URLs, tags, or promotional language.
• You must own both. The photo and the text must be entirely your own work. No AI-generated content, no third-party images, no borrowed verses.
• Photos must be around 1920px on the longest side. Heavily compressed or low-resolution files will not be accepted. Files bigger than 1MB should be compressed. We recommend using Squoosh, a free, browser-based tool that requires no account or installation. Set the longest dimension to 1920px and adjust the quality to keep the file smaller than 1MB. Around 80-85% should be fine. This keeps file sizes manageable without any visible loss in quality.
• No pre-applied watermarks or text overlays. The platform handles attribution in its own way.
• Your display name must be respectful. A real name, an artist name, or a simple pseudonym but nothing offensive or impersonating.
• Submission is not a guarantee of publication. Every piece is reviewed before it goes live. We may decline without explanation.
• Once published, it stays. By submitting you agree to a permanent display license. You keep your copyright, but you cannot request removal after publication.
• No advertising. This is a non commercial space. Keep it that way.
